Humans tend to be isolates
("alien"-nated); the reader is invited to question this & to
consider the possibility that an alien perspective might be necessary if we

Halloween is
almost here, coming fast in a fall of broomsticks and a soft flap of bedsheets
around corners.
If you
haven't already, please pick up a copy of my book: H. P. Lovecraft & the
Black Magickal Tradition.This book is
perfect reading for Halloween!
Lovecraft
was an autumn person, as I am, and as I think that many of you are.
Ray Bradbury
writes about the autumn people: "For some, autumn comes early, stays late
through life where October follows September and November touches October and
then, September comes again and old October and so on down the years...."
My new
essay: "Solaria & the Plight of the Millennials" has been
published in the New Dawn Magazine No. 175, July-August, 2019.Please download a copy & enjoy it.
In this
essay, I explore the technology & cell-phone addiction that plagues some of
our millennials (and young adults as well) & offer possible solutions,
basing my argument on themes to be found in Isaac Asimov's great Robot novels.
For Father's Day, my daughter Ligeia Leigh Steadman created a digital portrait of Chrome, a character that appears in William Gibson's short story "Burning Chrome." My daughter is studying Asian languages & history at Michigan State University & is becoming an accomplished artist. I like "Chrome" very much & I have uploaded it here for you to see. JLS
