Spooky Southcoast has been on the air at 1420 WBSM New Bedford's News-Talk Station in Fairhaven, MA for 10 years, making it one of the longest running paranormal radio shows in the US.

The show is hosted by Tim Weisberg & Matt Costa at the helm; they are supported by Stephanie Burke, a well-known pyschic medium, scientist Matt Moniz, and author Chris Balzano

The listeners and viewers of Spooky Southcoast are as much a part of the show as the "Spooky Crew" as they call themselves and there are multiple ways of interacting during the show. Whether it is the chatroom during the Live Youtube stream, on Twitter using #SPOOKYLIVE, Facebook LIVE, Periscope or live call-ins (1-877-996-1420)

The show focuses on topics associated with the paranormal; ghosts, UFO’s, and cryptids, among others.

Naturally,  I will be discussing my book H. P. Lovecraft & the Black Magickal Tradition.   But as always, I will talk about anything that my hosts or the audience might be interested in discussing.

In particular, I will be very pleased to answer any questions on any topic.  I enjoy weird speculations and off-the-wall topics, as anyone knows who has heard  my previous radio/podcast interviews or attended any of my presentations and book signings.

So, check out the interview on Saturday.

I recently published two free spells for general use among occultists, pagans and magickal practitioners.

The first of these, “The Spell of the Red Witch-Doll”, is useful for creating love & romance between the magickal practitioner and any person whom the practitioner desires.   The spell can also be cast to promote generate health and wellness.  The spell is available on the Wattpad.com website; I have posted the link on my Author Page in Facebook & on Twitter as well.

For the last year, I have been working on my third Master’s Degree.  I have been attending online classes at the American Military University, which is ranked in the top 12% of online universities in the US.  The Master’s Degree is in Education: Teaching (ME).

I am now eligible for acceptance in the PhD program at the University of Michigan-Flint. The PhD is in Education, with a concentration on Online Teaching.  My enrollment in the PhD program is guaranteed upon successful completion of my studies at AMU.

This autumn, I published a glog, “Cog AT: The Monster Behind the Mask,” which specifically critiques the Cog AT intelligence test as well as standardizing testing in general.  This glog has been described by an expert in the field of education as “visually & cognitively stimulating.” The glog can be found on Glogster.com.

In addition, I recently published a very potent spell for general use among occultists, pagans and magickal practitioners.  “The Spell of the Red Witch-Doll” can be used for creating love & romance between the magickal practitioner and any person whom the practitioner desires.   The spell can also be cast to promote generate health and wellness.  The spell is available online at the Wattpad.com website.

I am holding a book signing for H. P. Lovecraft & the Black Magickal Tradition (2015) at the Barnes & Noble bookstore on the Georgia Tech University campus in Atlanta, Georgia on Saturday, September 24, 2016.   This will happen three days from today!  The signing will begin at 12 PM and will conclude as late as I can manage, probably 6 PM or thereabouts.

The Georgia Tech University is one of the most prestigious universities in the US and is host to a large group of Lovecraft fans and aficionados, or so I’ve been told, and I want to spend as much time with them as possible.

The bookstore is located on 48 5th Street NW Atlanta, GA, 30308.  The landline is (404) 894-2515.  More information about this can be obtained via the website: https://www.yelp.com/biz/barnes-and-noble-georgia-tech-bookstore-atlanta

H. P. Lovecraft was the foremost fantasist of the 20th century and his work continues to have an influential effect on our literature and our culture.  In addition, Lovecraft  holds a place among the most advanced thinkers of his time and indeed, of the 21st century, and it is fitting for me, and for everyone, in fact, to acknowledge this and to pay homage to this truly great man.

I will be talking about all of this at the signing; anything that my guests want to talk about.  But I will, also, be having a great time, and I want the people who come out to see me to have a good time as well.

It is autumn; the pumpkin season; the time of Halloween; the time of life and death; and we can talk about all of this and celebrate it!  But death is life and life can be eternal life!

So, Lovecraft fans in Atlanta, come out!  See me!  And pick up a copy of my book!

H. P. Lovecraft was the foremost fantasist of the 20th century and his work continues to have an influential effect on our literature and our culture.  In addition, Lovecraft rightly holds a place among the most advanced thinkers of his time and indeed, of the 21st century, and it is fitting for me, and for everyone, in fact, to acknowledge this and to pay homage to this truly great man.

I will be talking about these issues and contingent matters at the signing; anything, in short, that my guests want to talk about.  But I will, also, be having a great time, and I want the people who come out to see me to have a good time as well.

It is autumn; the pumpkin season; the time of Halloween; the time of life and death; and we can talk about all of this and celebrate it and commiserate on the death of the season.  But death is life and life can be eternal life!

So, Lovecraft fans in Atlanta, come out!  See me!  And pick up a copy of my beautiful book!

I want to thank, also, my hosts at the recent Carnival of Para Horror in Buffalo, New York.  I attended the Carnival at the end of August and gave a presentation on Saturday, 8/27/16 and an encore presentation on Sunday, 8/28/16.  The presentation was “H. P. Lovecraft’s Cosmic Weird Tales & the Cinema” and it was a lot of fun; I had good turnout, particularly on Sunday and the guests were very lively and enjoyable.

The Carnival itself was quite a spectacular event.  It was held in the historic Grand Central Terminal in Buffalo; a magnificent, delightfully spooky building.  And the attendees and guests fit right into this atmosphere!  There were extravagantly costumed figures!  There were strange cries reverberating out of the darkness!

The great author and publisher Corvis Nocturnum was there; I’ve always wanted to meet him and I finally did so in the perfect environment.  I also met Eugene Clark, the star of The Land of the Dead, which is one of my all-time favorite zombie films.  And I sold a few books as well, which is always
pleasing to my accountant!

I would urge everyone to mark down on their calendars the date for next year’s Carnival of Para Horror.  This will be posted on their website when the time is ripe. It would be hard to find a more enjoyable, entertaining event!  It’s a guaranteed good time for everyone who loves horror and the paranormal, and really, who doesn’t.

August 20, 2016

On Saturday, 8/27/16, & Sunday, 8/28/16, I will be a guest speaker at the Carnival of Para Horror in Buffalo, New York.

The Carnival will be held at the Buffalo Central Terminal, 495 Paderewski Drive, Buffalo New York. This is a three-day event, starting on Friday, 8/26/16, and running over the weekend.  Tickets can be purchased online at the Carnival of Para Horror website and also at the door of the event.  There is free admission for children 10 and under.

My presentation on Saturday is “H. P. Lovecraft’s Cosmic Weird Tales & the Cinema”.  It will start at 2:00 PM and conclude at 3:00 PM or thereabouts.  This will be very informal; I want my listeners to feel totally relaxed and to have fun; guests should feel free to ask any questions during the presentation or after, and raise any issues they may wish me to address.

I will be examining Lovecraft’s unique, cosmic and rather revolutionary view of horror and fantasy, as expressed in his major fictional works.  Then, I will comment on key Hollywood films that attempt to bring Lovecraft’s unique vision to life: Stuart Gordon’s Dagon (2001); Daniel Haller’s The Dunwich Horror (1970); the Samuel Z. Arkoff production of Die Monster Die (1965), starring Boris Karloff, and Roger Corman’s The Haunted Palace (1963).

My presentation on Sunday, “H. P. Lovecraft’s Goddess Shub-Niggurath: Redefining the Horned God Archetype of the Wiccans”, will start at 1:00 PM, concluding an hour later at 2:00 PM.  Again, this will be very informal.  I decided to discuss Shub-Niggurath separately since this entity represents a “special case” in Lovecraft’s work, bringing in themes about gender, race and miscegenation that add a disturbing element to Lovecraft’s aesthetic.

Before and after the presentations, I will also have a stall at the Carnival for those who wish to purchase a signed copy of my new book, and for those who, likewise, might want to just drop by and say hello.  I hope to see some of my Facebook and Twitter friends and colleagues who live in the New York area as well.

The Carnival of Para Horror is a well-known, annual event for individuals (like me) who are fascinated by all things horror and paranormal.  It’s a guaranteed good time for everyone.

And I am going to be in very good company for this event! The well-known occult author, writer and publisher Corvis Nocturnum will be a guest; other guests include Debbie Rochon, actress, filmmaker, director and Fangoria radio host; Patsy Mullen, actress, model and star of Frankenhooker; and Eugene Clark, star of The Land of the Dead.

For information about the Carnival & the list of speakers, check out the Carnival of Para Horror website: http://www.parahorror.com/#!guests/c1h6a

I hope to see all of you at the Carnival of Para Horror, 2016!

The Carnival of ParaHorror is a three-day event, Friday, 8/26-Sunday, 8/28/16.  I will be giving a two-day presentation: Saturday, 8/27, 2:00-3:00 PM, and Sunday, 8/28/16, 1:00- 2:00 PM

My presentation on Saturday is: “H. P. Arkoff production of Die Monster Die (1965), starring Boris Karloff, and Roger Corman’s The Haunted Palace (1963).

I will also offer a new, startling interpretation of Lovecraft’s major Great Old Ones, Azathoth, Nyarlathotep, Yog-Sothoth & Cthulhu, the extra-terrestrial entities that lie at the center of Lovecraft’s philosophy and his works.

On Sunday, my presentation will be: “H. P. Lovecraft’s Goddess Shub-Niggurath: Redefining the Horned God Archetype of the Wiccans”.  In this presentation, I am concentrating on this last of Lovecraft’s major Great Old Ones.

Shub-Niggurath represents a special type of entity, which is why I have decided to discuss this entity separately from the others. Shub-Niggurath not only redefines Wiccan archetype, but also, brings this Great Old One into closer alignment with the frightening, impersonal vastness of the cosmos as Lovecraft understood it.

I will also have a stall at the Carnival for those who wish to purchase a signed copy of my new book, and for those who, likewise, might want to just drop by and say hello.  I hope to see some of my Facebook and Twitter friends and colleagues who live in the New York area as well.

On Monday, July 11, I am going to be interviewed by Micah Hanks on The Gralien Report from 3:00 PM EST – 4:00 PM EST.  This interview will subsequently be broadcast on The GRALIEN REPORT and elsewhere online, YouTube, etc.   I will provide information about the broadcast dates on this blog when this information becomes available.   The GRALIEN REPORT can be found at  http://www.gralienreport.com/

The Gralien Report is a very fascinating network; it offers information about the latest news in science, unexplained phenomena, history, sci-fi, and other compelling news from around the world. Micah Hanks and his team of dedicated investigators and journalists attempt to explore the mysteries of our existence by relying on scientific knowledge, and without catering to unfair or cynical criticism.

The host of The Gralien Report, Micah Hanks is a writer, researcher, podcaster, lecturer and radio personality whose work addresses a variety of areas, including history, politics, scientific theories and unexplained phenomena. Open minded, but skeptical in his approach, his research has examined a broad variety of subjects over the years, incorporating interest in scientific anomalies, cultural studies, psychology, sci-fi and pop culture, government secrecy, and the prospects of our technological future as a species as influenced by science.

He is author of several books, including his most recent work, The Ghost Rockets, as well as his 2011 release Magic, Mysticism and the Molecule: The Search for Sentient Intelligence from Other Worlds. In 2012, his book The UFO Singularity explored themes that incorporated futurism and technology–and at times skeptically–into an analysis of UFO phenomenon. His weekly Gralien Report Podcast is available at www.gralienreport.com in addition to a news and current events podcast, Middle Theory, available at www.middletheory.com.

On Thursday, July 14, I am going to be a guest on The Science of Magic Radio Show hosted by Gwilda Wiyaka.   The show is broadcast internationally through ‘X’ Zone Broadcast Network, Digital Satellite Network and their affiliates, the Mutual Broadcast Network and IPBN Radio Network.

It will be taped on July 14, 2016 at 11:00 PM EST and will be featured on The Science of Magic YouTube Channel : http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZHrFBoTPvJ4yE4P-sOQ  and on the website: www.thescienceofmagic.net

The host, Gwilda Wiyaka, is considered by most occult scholars as the foremost expert on the contemporary application of ancient shamantic principles. Gwilda is also a preceptor for the University of Colorado School of Medicine, where she provides instruction to medical doctors on the modern interface between shamanism and allopathic medicine for the University’s School of Medicine’s Complementary and Alternative Medicine Course.

For both of these interviews, I will be discussing my new book and I think, my interestingly revolutionary views on magickal practice, which disavow such outmoded, old-fashioned concepts such as the astral light, astral traveling, the aetheric reality, etc.  I view magickal practice as something entirely rational; merely an advantageous utilization of the realities (unrealities?) of the probabilistic, Quantum Universe.

I am going to be a guest on The Science of Magic Radio Show hosted by Gwilda Wiyaka.   The show is broadcast internationally through ‘X’ Zone Broadcast Network, Digital Satellite Network and their affiliates, the Mutual Broadcast Network and IPBN Radio Network.

It will be taped on Thursday, July 14, 2016 from 11:00 AM-12:00 Noon MT, and will be featured on The Science of Magic YouTube Channel : http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZHrFBoTPvJ4yE4P-sOQ  and on the website: www.thescienceofmagic.net   I will post links to the channel & website when they become available.

I will be discussing my new book and I think, my interestingly revolutionary views on magickal practice, which disavow such outmoded, old-fashioned concepts such as the astral light, astral traveling, the aetheric reality, etc.  I view magickal practice as something entirely rational; merely an advantageous utilization of the realities (unrealities?) of the probabilistic, Quantum Universe.

Near the end of summer, I am going to be a guest speaker at the Pagan Pride Convention in Detroit, Michigan, August 13, 2016, where I will also hold a book signing event.

For the Pagan Pride Convention, I will be examining H. P. Lovecraft's connection with the Wiccan religion. In Chapter 7 of my book, I explore this connection, but due to space constraints, I was unable to give it fuller treatment.  My speech will remedy this situation.

My presentation is entitled: "H. P. Lovecraft's Goddess Shub-Niggurath: Redefining the Horned God Archetype of the Wiccans."

On Tuesday, August 16th, at 7:00 PM Central Time, I am going to be a guest on Beyond the Forest Radio Show, hosted by Sanjay R Singhal RA.   Beyond The Forest Radio tackles the strange world of the cryptids, the shadowy animals and creatures that science does not yet understand and their many manifestations.

You can catch the shows, both live and archived at the official Beyond the Forest Show Blog Talk Radio Page: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/beyondtheforest

As usual, I will be discussing my new book H. P. Lovecraft & the Black Magickal Tradition and focusing, in particular, on the Great Old Ones, Lovecraft’s pantheon of extra-terrestrial entities that are, in effect, every bit as real and influential as the creatures and the cryptids showcased on Beyond the Forest Radio.

I have also been invited to be a guest speaker for two consecutive days at the well-known Carnival of Para-Horror Convention in Buffalo, New York on August 27 & 28, 2016; I will be signing books at this event as well.

My two -part presentation at the Carnival of Para-Horror is entitled " H. P. Lovecraft's Cosmic Weird Tales & the American Cinema."

When we get closer to summer, I will post on this blog (and on Facebook & Twitter) more specific information- dates, times, locations, etc.- about the Pagan Pride Day & the Carnival of Para-Horror speaking engagements.

And finally, in early autumn, I will be holding another book signing event at the Georgia Tech Barnes & Noble college bookstore in Atlanta, Georgia on September 24, 2016 from 12:00 PM- 6:00 PM.

The Georgia Tech campus boasts a large Lovecraft following, so I am looking forward to this autumnal event; I hope to meet a wide variety of fans of horror & science fiction and hopefully, some of my dark friends and colleagues in the south who know me on Facebook & Twitter will stop by to pick up a copy of my book & say hello.
